FAQ

Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The file is read and split inside your browser, and nothing is sent to our server.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
No. Protected files cannot be read safely here, and the tool tells you so. Remove the password in the program that created the file, then try again.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are without recompressing text or images. Document-level extras such as bookmarks, form fields and attachments are not carried over to the new files.
How do page ranges work?
Separate entries with commas. 1-3,5,8-10 selects pages 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9 and 10. A trailing dash such as 7- means page 7 to the end, and the word all selects every page.
What are the limits?
PDFs up to 100 MB and 2,000 pages, and up to 500 output files at once. Very large files depend on your device's memory.
A page preview is blank. Is the file broken?
Not necessarily. Previews are an extra convenience and some pages may not draw in the preview, but the page is still copied correctly when you split.
