How are discount and tax calculated?

The discount is applied to the invoice subtotal, either as a percentage or a fixed amount that can never exceed the subtotal. Tax is then calculated on the subtotal after the discount, and optionally on shipping too. Shipping and the extra fee are added after that.

Are the totals accurate?

Yes. Amounts are calculated with exact decimal arithmetic rather than floating point, each line is rounded to the currency's smallest unit (for example cents), and zero-decimal currencies such as JPY and three-decimal currencies such as KWD are handled correctly.

Why does my PDF look like a picture?

Standard PDF fonts cannot show every script. If your text includes characters such as Urdu, Arabic or emoji, the PDF is made from page images so everything displays correctly; in that case the text cannot be selected. Latin-script invoices are normal text PDFs.

Is this a legally valid invoice?

The tool creates the document, but invoice requirements such as tax numbers and mandatory wording differ by country. Please check the rules that apply to you.
